Customs Declaration
Formal submission to customs containing details of the transaction, goods, value, origin, and regime.
Customs Clearance
Set of procedures to declare, inspect, and release goods through customs.
Anti-Dumping Duty
Duty or measure applied to offset proven dumping practices.
Dumping
Export sale at a price below normal value, potentially causing injury to the domestic industry.
Despatch Advice
EDI message notifying dispatch with details of the goods shipped.
Delivered Duty Paid
The seller bears virtually all costs, risks, and import clearance obligations until the goods are delivered at the named destination.
Delivered at Place
The seller delivers the goods at the named destination ready for unloading, without handling import clearance.
Demurrage
Charge levied for exceeding the free days allowed for container use or terminal storage, as stipulated in the contract.
Detention
Charge for retaining a container outside the terminal beyond the contractually allowed free days.
Dangerous Goods
Cargo subject to special regulations due to chemical, flammable, toxic, or other hazardous properties.
