The Afghanistan-Pakistan border crossing is a key corridor for agricultural goods, textiles, and fuels between the two countries. Nusaybin is one of the few land crossings between Turkey and Iraq, mainly used for Turkish manufactured goods bound for northern Iraq. The lack of direct alternatives increases reliance on seaports or longer routes such as Zakho in Iraq or Torkham if operational.
